#012 Recognition and Reward Culture: Practice Leadership with Veterinary Director, Dr Sheryl Kidd

#012 - I think we can all agree that receiving recognition for the work we do, really can make a difference to how we feel, as well as our level of motivation.  Naturally, none of us entered the veterinary profession for the recognition, but that's not to say we don't deserve to be appreciated for all of the hard work that we do. A simple thank-you for a job well done, really does go a long way.

I am very proud to call Dr Sheryl Kidd a close personal friend. Not only is she a small animal practitioner with a love for soft tissue surgery, she is also the co-founder of Platinum CPD, and a Veterinary Director with Greencross Vets. Since its opening just over 3 years ago, Sheryl's practice has continued to go from strength to strength. Her secret? Well, it seems to be three-fold:

  1. Happy employees that feel appreciated - enter the recognition and reward culture;
  2. Building deep relationships with staff and clients alike.
  3. Providing a service that offers something just a little bit extra.
