I’ve been a practicing veterinarian for 17 years and even after all this time, hand on heart, I still absolutely love what I do. That’s not to say the job doesn’t have its challenges - it definitely does, but the positive aspects far outway the negative. And the feeling I get when I make that phone call to my client, letting them know their horse or pony can be discharged from hospital, is just so worth it.
BUT, it’s not just me that feels this way.
I started The PositiVETy Podcast to help shine a spotlight on all the positive aspects of our veterinary profession, and to give others an opportunity to share what it is about veterinary medicine that brings them joy.
It’s my absolute pleasure to sit down and record my conversations with our amazing colleagues, all of whom have incredible stories and insights to share. I truly hope that each episode you listen to serves as a gentle reminder that you are valued, the work we do every day really does matter, and there is so much joy to be had within our profession.
