Ellie qualified in 1999 from Cambridge Veterinary School and after 3 years in small animal practice she undertook a residency in Feline Medicine at the Animal Health Trust. Following this she worked at Bristol University Feline Centre for a year, and after gaining the RCVS Diploma in Feline Medicine she moved to private referral practice in the North West of England. Here she was proud to be awarded RCVS Specialist Status in Feline Medicine and later set up a centre for radioiodine treatment of hyperthyroid cats.
Ellie has since established her own company, Feline Better Ltd, providing a visiting feline medicine consultancy service to local practices in the North West England and North Wales, allowing her to indulge her passion for cats and medicine even further. She also works part time for Axiom Veterinary Laboratories, and is an associate editor for the BVA’s In Practice journal. She is regularly called upon as a speaker, both nationally and internationally.
