#011 - Maria Johnson is not your average veterinary nurse; she is a woman on a mission, to help educate busy parents about "All Manna of Things" nutrition. Maria has been involved in the veterinary profession for over 20 years, and during this time has gained a wealth of experience in a variety of roles - from ECC nursing to diagnostic imaging, and referral surgery to internal medicine. She has contributed to the qualification of countless veterinary students and now spends her time as part of the operational team of a busy academic referral hospital.
Throughout her experiences, the one thing Maria has identified is the terrible habit employed by a large number of veterinary professionals - which is failing to prioritise eating during the workday. In this episode, Maria shares some insights into why this is so detrimental - not only for our decision making and performance but also for mood and levels of anxiety. She also provides some handy solutions, and ideas for nutrition on the go.Maria also shares some good news with us, about the benefits of drinking coffee (hooray); and why beans on toast is a perfectly acceptable dinner!
